There are two different types of eligible expenses for Commuter Benefit members. You may have one or the other, or both. Check with your employer at open enrollment to find out which is available to you. These are the two types:
Qualified Transit includes passes, tokens, fare cards or similar items entitling you to ride a mass transit vehicle to or from work. The vehicle may be publicly or privately operated and includes bus, rail, or ferry. It also includes van-pooling fees in a commuter highway vehicle with a seating capacity of at least 6 adults, excluding the driver.
Qualified Parking includes parking fees at or near your place of work or at or near a location from which you commute to work by car pool, commuter highway vehicle, or mass transit.
The QSEHRA allows you to pay for individual health insurance premiums that meet the Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) requirements. Check with your employer to find out what other medical expenses are eligible.Learn More
