2026 HSA Limits Released

The IRS has released the 2026 HSA maximum contribution limits. See below for changes from 2025 to 2026:

 

2026 CONTRIBUTION, OUT-OF-POCKET LIMITS FOR HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNTS (HSA) AND HIGH-DEDUCTIBLE HEALTH PLANS (HDHP)

Family: $8,550

HDHP minimum deductibles

 

 

Self-only: $1,650

Self-only: $1,700

                                       
Family: $3,400

 

HDHP maximum out-of-pocket amounts (deductibles, co-payments and other amounts, but not premiums)

 

 

Self-only: $8,300

                             
Family: $16,600

 

Self-only: $8,500

                                       
Family: $17,000

 

The IRS has also released the 2026 Excepted Benefit HRA maximum amount that may be made available for the Plan Year - $2,200.
