Guide to Using Your Surency Flex Benefits Card

The Surency Flex Benefits Card is a helpful tool that makes it easier for you to use your Surency Flex plan. You can use this card to pay for eligible expenses, and it will automatically withdraw funds from your Surency Flex account. It is the easiest way to access your account funds. Don't let the details intimidate you - use this guide to help answer your questions so you can confidently swipe your Surency Flex Benefits Card every time you are purchasing an eligible expense!

What’s eligible?

First of all, you need to be purchasing an eligible item. How do you know what’s eligible for purchase with your account? Click here to locate your account type and find out what’s eligible for your plan: https://www.surency.com/flex/eligible-expenses

Where can I buy eligible items?

You can buy eligible expenses from many places – the doctor’s office, pharmacy, even many grocery stores. Some stores may not accept your Benefits Card, in which case you can still be reimbursed for the eligible expense by paying upfront, then submitting a claim to be paid back (click here to learn more about submitting claims). When should I get rid of my card?

You do NOT need to get rid of your card at the end of your Plan Year. If you enroll in another year of your plan, you will be able to use the same Surency Flex Benefits Card until its expiration date. Treat the card like you would a debit card – as long as you have an account with Surency Flex, you can use the same card until it expires.

What happens when my card expires?

We will automatically send you a new card before your card expires if your plan is still active.
